Fees and tax policy

Makazi displays applicable charges before you confirm a payment. Platform fees are calculated from the transaction principal and VAT is treated as included in the displayed platform fee.

Platform fees

The current platform fee is 7% for rent collections and 7% for hunting-fee transactions. The applicable fee is shown at the payment step and may be updated prospectively in accordance with Makazi’s terms.

VAT-inclusive pricing

The displayed platform fee is VAT-inclusive. For accounting purposes, Makazi separates the fee into its net service-fee component and VAT component in its internal invoice ledger. The current configured VAT rate is 16%.

Referral commissions

Referral commissions are funded from Makazi’s platform fee and are not added on top of the customer’s displayed transaction charge. Current referral rates are 2% of the rent principal for the first tier and 1% of the hunting-fee principal for each of up to two tiers, subject to eligibility and fraud safeguards.

Receipts and questions

Payment receipts identify the principal, platform fee, and applicable tax information available for the transaction. If a charge appears incorrect, please contact Makazi support with the relevant receipt or payment reference.
